Petra Cortright is an artist from California who’s work centers around the appropriation of internet technology and techniques to create strange and interesting art. Working primarily in video format, she takes these simple techniques to create eerie contextually out of place pieces that are quick blips into a place in internet history that give a subconcious nostalgic feel while still feeling the experience of the artist. Petra is also a runner and recently ran in the San Diego Marathon in honor of friends and family to raise money for the The Leukemia &Lymphoma Society.
