Running Scared x Gyakusou Event Pictures
Nike and Jun Takahashi, founder and head designer of Japan’s coveted clothing label Undercover, proudly launched the first Nike x Undercover Gyakusou performance running collection at Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer on Sunday 10.31.10. In celebration of the launch and in good ol’ spooky Halloween spirit, the NYC Bridge Runners hosted the first ever “Running Scared”, a 3.1 mile haunted run which...

190 Bowery →
Does anyone live in there? Well yea, duh. More interestingly is how many people, and how beautiful it is in there. Working at ALLDAYEVERYDAY, we come out everyday to the sight of this mysterious building sitting just as it has for years. With the New Museum and Bowery Hotel down the street, along with an ever growing number of restored new buildings, 190 Bowery sticks out like a...

Tomorrow at McCarren Park : Dead Man
I’d heard of this movie before, but I don’t know why I haven’t seen it yet. It reminds me of one of my favorite LEVI’S ADs from the 90s. It look like at the very least it will be a cool LOOKING movie. See ya at sundown.

The Blind Barber →
I first stumbled (literally) onto this place the night of the Vice Photo Show. It was housing the after party to the opening. At first I thought it was just some over excited interior designer making a bar look like a barber shop, but it wasn’t til now the pieces started all making sense. I saw the video above, featuring Gogy Esparza, a barber at The Blind Barber,...

Quick Eats : L'Asso
Went to this place called L’Asso today with a mini crew from work and definitely will be a return customer very soon. You know an italian place is gonna be good when it’s recomended to you by two italian fellows, Jucepe and Lele. For $10 dollars at lunch time you can get your belly’s worth of a panini, soup/salad, and delicious coffee. I went for the Pollo Panini/Pomodoro Soup...

Tip of the Day : The Proper Lean
Leaning too far forward when you run can cause lower-back pain, neck and shoulder fatigue, and side stitches—all of which will cause you to slow down or increase your effort unnecessarily. This two-part drill will help you maintain the ideal upright position. Try it at the beginning of each run, when you resume running after a walk break, or whenever you begin to tire during a...

Quick Eats: No.7 Sub
On the property of the ACE Hotel… that’s an eggplant parm sandwich from No.7 Sub. It rules. Melted fontina, yellow squash, pickled jalapenos and…. bbq potato chips! I also tried the General Tso Tofu sandwich. Also great. Filling, fresh and just some rad new flavors that I don’t see anywhere else in the city, this is worth the trip to midtown.

(RED) Tied Together Film
A lot of us were lucky enough to participate in this worldwide event. I think for a lot of us it came and passed so quickly it was hard to take in the impact it was really making internationally. ALLDAYEVERYDAY made a film, directed by Kai Regan, about the whole thing to put into perspective how influential and cooperative of an effort this really was. Premiered at Bowery Stadium this past...

Quick Eats: Minca
If you like ramen and pork, this is your place. Their specialty is a pork broth that is thick and rich. The ramen comes thin, wavy to thick. Your choice. The cabbage starts to wilt in the broth as you eat. Click for more shots and some pork belly goodness.

Weekend Concerts and stuff...
Outdoor concerts makes the damn summer happen. Though we’re already into July and and the back to school sales are creepin up there’s no signs of slowing down in New York for summer throw downs. Here are a few examples from some of the BridgeRunners.
One of the thing I love about NYC is free concerts. Why else would you go to South Street Seaport, it looks like a crappy part...
